A flat-bottomed sink will give you more space than a curved sink and will help keep fragile items from tipping over. And if you want more storage space beneath the sink, pay attention to the sink’s drain placement. While many sinks have a drain placed in the middle, an offset drain can consolidate the plumbing below the sink, freeing up more space.

Is the depth of the sink comfortable? Does it put a strain on your back? Take your time. You may be spending many hours with that sink, and you want it to be just right.
